AmASSI Group, LLC maintains full technical assistance and training resources to help organizations enhance program
quality and improve outcomes for their clients:
PROGRAM EVALUATION:
AmASSI Group conducts evaluations of services for various programs. Without regular evaluation, many programs have few measurement
tools to review their success or correct structural or programmatic weaknesses. An evaluation conducted by AmASSI Group not
only provides a clear perspective on progress and needed improvements, but also lends credibility to the evaluation process.
If the program is federally funded, AmASSI Group works closely with the Institutional Review Board (IRB) of Hunter College,
CUNY. AmASSI consultants utilize tailored resources to develop measurement tools that are specifically effective in the measurement
of diverse and hard-to-rach populations.
WORKSHOPS & TRAINING:
AmASSI Group is the leader in providing information and training in culturally specific health and social programs designed
to support African American clients. Through on-site trainings, conferences, workshops and curricula, AmASSI Group provides
an array of educational resources to workers and volunteers on many topics.
TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE:
AmASSI Group brings together a rich tradition of scholarship, research, and service in the field of health to impact clients
of African descent internationally. Staff members are specialists who plan, develop, and evaluate community and public health
programs. The primary tools used by the staff - epidemiology, behavioral, and management sciences - result in improved organization
and coordination of health and community resources to impact health outcomes. Consultants function as a resource, helping
to address the complex problems of planning, organization, and delivery of health services.
Over the last 20 years, the AmASSI Group approach has enhanced the administrative and programmatic viability of existing
health programs across the nation. Over this period, consultants have collaborated with a broad variety of organizations.
CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT:
Due to the work of founder, Cleo Manago, AmASSI Group is a leader in pioneering curriculum development that utilizes alternative
research methodologies to integrate African American Community Defined Evidence (CDE). AmASSI Group is committed both to advancing
the state of relevant knowledge and to bringing this knowledge to bear on appropriate applications to achieve better health
status, reduction in disparity, and gains in health outcomes for our most vulnerable population. See curriculum guides and
